Case Study: Taxonomy and Business Requirements Workshop

A large abrasives manufacturer was struggling with their product data. The challenge: product data is currently not well structured and does not live in a centralized place. Owners of product data in different departments are managing in personal Excel documents and collating the data back into a single record for every new item inducted. This is affecting the manufacturers time to market.

To address this issue, B2X led a workshop to help define new data management practices. The workshop was a four-day session where we defined the product taxonomy and attribution and outlined the business requirements needed for PIM and other data management processes.
