Case Study: Cooney Brothers

Cooney Brothers was founded in 1937 by brothers Francis and James Cooney. Today, they are a PVF (pipes, valves and fittings) wholesaler serving the Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania region.

Looking to launch their first eCommerce enterprise, Cooney Brothers engaged B2X to build a strategic plan for digital transformation. Without a blueprint to start, this was a ground-up project to define the current situation, develop a strategic plan and define and design the Cooney Brothers’ digital and offline look and feel.

B2X interviewed Cooney Brothers executives, stakeholders and surveyed customers. This led to a detailed competitive analysis, financial model and competitive analysis and digital roadmap. Following from the strategic objectives, B2X developed branding fundamentals to drive the relaunch: a brand book, a Style Guide and detailed web page designs.

In support of the successful site launch, B2X provided ongoing consulting in user experience, product information management, website analytics and website Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing. All driving towards a successful launch of a new, user-focused eCommerce site, targeted to drive user adoption and online sales.
